Bringing Buildings Back to Life

â–     In 2008, Kaizen removed and replaced five acres of debris netting inside the historic R101 airship hangers at Cardington, near Bedford.  It is probably the single largest debris netting installation in a listed building – the hangers are 247m long, 55m wide and 48m high
â–     The hangers were subject to a structural survey, but before that could be done, the damaged netting had to be replaced – it had so many holes, it was too risky to work underneath.
â–     Our IRATA trained technicians found safe methods to access the roof area and removed the five acres of damaged netting.
â–     Then, by ‘throwing’ lines – itself a clever technique – the new nets were hauled up and secured so that the structural survey could go ahead.

We can be equally innovative when installing pigeon netting, anti-bird spikes and mansafe netting.

â–     And while up there, we can also fix and/or remove aerials, banners, decorations, lighting, lightening conductors, flag poles and other attachments – and carry out other maintenance work.
